Caracas contains just one large mosque, called the Mosque Ibrahim Ibin Abdul Aziz Al-Ibrahim, or simply the Caracas Mosque. It was constructed fairly recently, in 1993. It was commissioned by Sheikh Ibrahim ibne Abdul Aziz, and architect Zuhe Fayez was credited with the design of the mosque. The mosque is the largest in all of Latin America, potentially housing around 3500 worshippers when full.
The mosque is located in the Parque Central area, on Avenue Libertador.
