Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel offers the finest in festive Iftars

altRiyadh, Saudi Arabia, 28th July 2011: Riyadh’s Al Faisaliah Hotel is preparing for their much anticipated annual tradition – the spectacular Fawanees setting created for the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The newly refurbished Prince Sultan Grand Hall (the largest column free space in the Kingdom) which is transformed every year into the Arabesque surroundings of Fawanees, is expected to welcome more than 20,000 guests for Iftar during the month of August, to break the fast and relax in style and comfort.

Peter Finamore, Managing Director of Al Faisaliah Hotel said:  “Al Faisaliah Hotel is honoured to have established a tradition that resonates with our Riyadh community as strongly as Fawanees does. With a feast for the senses at every turn, Fawanees offers a spectacular setting, unrivalled personalised service and a range of gourmet cuisine that knows no match in the city.”

Iftar menus created by the hotel’s celebrated chefs cater to every culinary taste and preference.  Choices include the finest traditional Arabian fare – Tunisian harissa soup Moroccan tagines, kebbeh bel laban and Saudi Arabia’s celebrated lamb kabsa, as well as an array of international dishes from almost every corner of the globe.  Live cooking stations offer the freshest and finest selection of meats and seafood, and a buffet selection that includes hot and cold mezze, salads and shawarmas ensures the most discerning palates will be satisfied.

Adding to the atmosphere of celebration, key sponsor STC will also be giving away a number of valuable surprise gifts every evening during Ramadan to lucky guests in Fawanees.

”Al Faisaliah is offering the finest in comfort and cuisine from sundown until the early hours of the morning, there is truly no better place to enjoy Ramadan celebrations in Riyadh,”  said Mr Finamore.

Iftars in Al Faisaliah’s Fawanees in the Prince Sultan Grand Hall will be held daily during Ramadan from Magreb prayer until 8.30pm. The Iftar buffet, and Ramadan juices such as Tamer Hindy, Kamar Al dine Jellab, is SAR240 per person.  The Sohour buffet will be served at La Cucina, our Italian Restaurant at the Al Faisaliah Hotel South for SAR225 each for food only, and meals are available from 10:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.  All prices are subject to a 15 percent service charge.

For large gatherings wanting to break the fast in a more private setting, Al Faisaliah offers its exclusive Al Omsiat Ballroom Iftar and Sohours.  Parties of 100 to 250 guests can enjoy the diverse Iftar and Sohour buffet in majestic settings highlighted by custom woven carpets, ornate chandeliers, and polished marble accents for a one-of-a-kind experience. Al Faisaliah’s Fawanees in the Prince Sultan Grand Hall, the largest column-free and most prestigious banqueting hall, can accommodate up to 1000 guests for Iftar.
