Trump Hotel Project Will Continue On Palm Jumeirah

The Trump hotel project on Palm Jumeirah, which was launched in 2008, will move forward despite recent rumors it was canceled completely.  Vice President of the Trump Organization, Donald Trump Jr. said he would love to see the Trump International Hotel and Tower on Palm Jumeirah go ahead within the next two years.

Mr. Trump talked about the project during his address to visitors on the first day of Cityscape in Dubai on Monday.  He said “We’re great partners with Nakheel.  The project, when it makes sense, we plan on going forward with it.  A lot has to happen because it makes no sense to throw good money after bad.”   The Trump organization has not yet invested equity in the project but remains confident in Nakheel, the project, and Dubai.

Zurich, Switzerland

The Schanzengraben is a canal that connects Lake Zurich to the Limmat, through the western end of central Zurich.  The canal was dug beginning in 1642 as a part of a new set of defensive fortifications necessitated by the Thirty Years War.  It was actually a moat, and the bridges across were wooden so they could easily be burned in times of trouble.  Originally, it ran along what is...
