Travelport GDS today announced details of a new full content agreement with Spanish flag carrier Iberia. Travelport GDS is one of the world’s primary global distribution system (GDS) providers. Under the new multi-year agreement, all Travelport GDS connected travel agents around the world now have access to Iberia’s full range of published fares and inventory. Travelport has previously negotiated content agreements with most of the European carriers.
Travelport Vice President for the Airline Services for Europe, Middle East, and Africa said “Iberia is a true global aviation power and its extensive route network is highly valued by our travel agency customers.” Iberia Vice President for Commercial Logistics expressed appreciation for Travelport GDS service and support provided to “help overcome the challenges that exist in the current trading environment.” Jose Arribas said “Their technical expertise and depth of world coverage is second to none.”
