TravelPort GDS announced they have strengthened their Africa team by recruiting both internally and externally. The new and highly experienced team will focus on increasing market presence throughout Africa.
Mark Meehan will head up the newly formed team from Middle East and Africa headquarters in Dubai. Meehan will be responsiblie for strengthening TravelPort GDS’s leading position in many African markets as well as finding new market opportunities. Meehan has been with TravelPort GDS ten years. Previously he was based in UK and responsible for the company’s global commercial operations. Mathew Powell has been appointed director of business development for Africa and will report to Meehan. He has been with TravelPort GDS for 14 years holding various leadership roles.
