Travel Companies Prepare For Yield Drop

Senior Executives say Middle Eastern travel management companies are searching for ways to survive the economic crisis as all travel segments slow and yields decrease. Under consideration are streamlining processes, new revenue streams, and resource management. Executives say three challenges presented by the economic crisis are collection and credit terms yield drops, and resource management. General Manager for Dubai Travel and Tour Agents Group explains the biggest problem is customers are not flying as often and corporations are down-scaling their business travel as well as the class of travel from first to business to economy.
