Emirates Palace is planning to build its own world class, full size football training facility for the upcoming Fifa Club World Cup which will be held in the UAE capital. The new facility will be one of eight official training grounds during the tournament which takes place between 9 December and 19 December 2009.
A Local Organising Committee official said it will be the highest quality football grounds ever build by a hotel, using the highest international standards. It will be surrounded by a natural grass amphitheatre. The pitch will be a permanent at Emirates Palace and be used for training by football teams around the world. UAE Football Association president said “Emirates Palace is an iconic symbol of Abu Dhabi and we are thrilled to be working closely with them to stage a magnificent tournament this December.”
