Dubai Mall received five million visitors last month during the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), setting a record in visitor footfall. There was a massive surge witnessed in tourism and trade during the festival sources said.
“ Dubai Mall was the city's key shopping, entertainment and leisure destination during DSF, underscored by the record five million visitor footfall, thus setting a new precedent for shopping malls across the region and internationally,” said Nasser Rafi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Emaar Malls Group. Other malls that recorded an increase in visitor footfall include Dubai Marina Mall, Souk Al Bahar and Gold & Diamond Park.
Dubai Mall is the world’s largest mall with over 1,200 retail outlets; Dubai Marina Mall has over 160 retail outlets; Souk Al Bahar has both restaurants and retail outlets while Gold & Diamond Park has jewellery outlets.
