Celebrate Thai New Year at Silk Route, Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa
Dubai, UAE (April 13, 2012) – The award-winning Silk Route Restaurant at the Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, Dubai invites you to be a part of the annual Thai Festival to commemorate the country’s New Year, Songkran Day, from 13th to 15th April.
An important occasion celebrated in Thailand, the festivity showcases the Southeast Asian country’s authentic cultural and culinary traditions. Across the country, everyone takes to the streets to splash each other with water as a sign of cleansing and renewal, and tie colorful strings around each other’s wrists to wish them good luck for the following year.
Have a true Thai dining experience and feast on an extensive and irresistible set menu of authentic dishes from Phuket, Pattaya, Bangkok and Changmai as you discover the rich flavours of Thai cuisine freshly prepared by Chef Sumphot Psotsalee such as Pad Thai Noodles; Khao Chae, a delicious rice dish; Gaeng Kiew Wahn Gai, Chicken with Green Curry; Krayasad, a mixture made from puffed rice, oats, peanuts and Thai noodles that is sweetened with palm sugar and coconut syrup; Kanom Tom, sticky rice and mung bean balls piled high into a pyramid shaped dessert and Kanom Krok, coconut rice pancakes are some of the more universal Thai foods enjoyed during the Songkran festival.
Traditional music, as well as lavish spreads will all be part of the celebrations in our favourite Thai restaurant. Be part of this annual celebration at Silk Route and celebrate Songkran Day to experience Thailand’s rich culture as well as its culinary treasures.
The Thai New Year Food Festival is available for lunch from 12 noon to 3pm and dinner from 7.30 pm to 2 am. For reservations please call Silk Route on telephone number 04 – 3519 111.
