April 2- Youssef Al-Hamdan, a Saudi businessman has filed a SR100 million lawsuit against Saudi Arabian Airlines over the purchase of an aircraft from the airline that was ill-equipped. According to the details, Al-Hamdan won the tender for the purchase of a Boeing 747 aircraft, which he checked before the transaction was completed. However, after paying the airline, Al-Hamdan found that most of the aircraft’s technical equipment was missing.
He tried to get in touch with the airline but the company has failed to respond. Al-Hamdan then turned towards Al-Nowaiser, a law firm, to find a solution to the issue but the firm failed to get any feedback from the airline so legal action was taken as a last resort.
The aircraft, said Al-Hamdan, should be restored by the airline in the condition it was in before the purchase was made or Saudi Airlines should pay him SR100 million as compensation for the devices, which, he alleged, were removed from the aircraft after the purchase.
