Salalah is now closer to Abu Dhabi
The monsoon in Oman has become more accessible thanks to Rotana Jet's thrice weekly flights from Abu Dhabi's Bateen Airport. Rain clouds hanging low over the hills of Dhafur, lush green plains and natural waterfalls are a pleasant change from the harsh summers of Abu Dhabi.
A weekend away on a 50-seater Embraer jet to Salalah in Oman can be a great way to recharge. Rotana Jet flights leave Abu Dhabi every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1530 while the return flights depart at 1815 from Salalah.
