Poll shows majority against BA strike

April 2- More than 80 per cent of the people are opposed to the British Airways cabin crew strike, it was revealed on Arabian Business’ latest poll.  A total of 84.3 per cent of respondents said they were against a series of strikes which have grounded a number of the UK carrier's services, including some to the Middle East region.

Some 46.8 per cent said the strikes were wrong in the current economic climate, and that staff should be “thankful that they have jobs” while a further 37.5 per cent said all those involved should be fired.

Strike action by cabin crew continued to affect scheduled long-haul flights, including one from Dubai, on Wednesday. “There will be some cancellations of flights globally on the 31st as the airline get their aircraft, pilots and cabin crew back into the correct positions around the world,” a British Airways’ spokesperson said earlier this week.
