May 31 - Kuwaiti-based Jazeera Airways announced the launch a new sales channel in Kuwait via the Galileo Global Distribution System (GDS). This makes Jazeera the first low-cost airline in the country to have signed up for Galileo.
Speaking on the occasion, Stefan Pichler, CEO, Jazeera Airways said: "We remain firmly committed to providing guests with as many channels as possible to book their travel with us, and our agreement with Galileo makes booking flights on Jazeera Airways even more accessible, and an alternative booking option to our website or call centre."
The airline is also considering introducing GDS to its operations in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt.
