Etihad Airways Opens Premium Lounge At Frankfurt Airport

Etihad Airways opened its first premium lounge outside of the UAE, at Frankfurt Airport, The new lounge is the first of many planned across the airlines global network as part of a strategy to strengthen its brand during the economic downturn..  Etihad Airways chief commercial officer said it “marks the beginning of a gradual rollout of Etihad lounges across the airline’s network which will all offer the same quality and feel.”  Another premium lounge is next planned for London’s Heathrow Airport at Terminal 4 in September. 

The Etihad Airways premium lounge at Frankfurt Airport caters mainly to business class passengers, which account for a high portion of the airlines share of profits.  The lounge has individual workstations, an on demand dining center, and prayer room for Etihad business class passengers.  It is located across from the Etihad boarding gate and opens three hours before departure of Etihad Airways flights.
