Carriers back in profit in second quarter

IATA (International Air Transport Authority) has  assessed the financial health of the airline industry and has reported that a new profit $ 3.9 billion has been made in the second quarter. These results contrast to the $881 million net loss posted by carriers a year earlier.

The cause for the increase has been attributed to asset sales worth $1.3 million, as well as stable fuel prices and slowly improving demand over the past few months.
