Bread Street Kitchen
Michelin star and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is back in Dubai as he has announced the grand opening of Bread Street Kitchen later this year at Atlantis, The Palm. This will be the fourth Bread Street Kitchen for Ramsay. Other locations include London, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen is an informal, casual venue offering modern British European cuisine. Ramsay says his restaurant in Dubai will reflect the character of the original Bread Street Kitchen in London.
Ramsay was last in Dubai in 2001 with Verre at Hilton Dubai Creek, which stayed open for ten years. In Verre’s space now is Table 9 by Darren Velvick, another notable British chef.
Atlantis, The Palm is already home to 23 restaurants, including Nobu by celebrated chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Ronda Locatelli, by Michelin-starred chef Giorgio Locatelli.
Pots, Pans and Boards
The British food invasion continues with the confirmation of another superstar chef set to open a restaurant in Dubai. Tom Aikens, the youngest chef in Britain to have been awarded a second Michelin star, recently retweeted confirmation that he is set to open his new restaurant, ‘Pots, Pans and Boards’ in Dubai on September 9.
Aikens’s debut UAE eatery will offer English, Mediterranean and French dishes – from black squid tempura and lamb meatballs with harissa to treacle-marinated salmon and red fruit and apple crumble – all cooked and presented in a pot or pan, or on a board.
“We absolutely cannot wait to bring Pots, Pans and Boards to the people of Dubai and are keen to offer up something completely different to what currently exists on the Dubai food scene,” says Aikens.
Pans and Boards will be located down at The Beach at Jumeirah Beach Residences, one of Dubai’s most up and coming foodie locations.
