Short term visit visa
Many foreign nationals - depending on their nationality - require a Schengen visa to visit the Netherlands. This visa was introduced on 26 March 1995 and is valid for the following European countries:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal,
Spain and Sweden.
A Schengen visa allows you to travel in and between these countries. Please be aware that you may still be refused entry at the border if you do not meet all other admission requirements: a visa in itself is not a right to enter a country.
The Consulate General of the Netherlands in Dubai also issues Schengen visa on behalf of Belgium and Luxembourg.

Depending on the circumstances of your application, you may be required to produce further documentation. It is essential to apply for a visa well in advance of your trip, as it may take two weeks or more to process an application.

It is important that you apply for the temporary residence permit at least three months prior to your intended stay in the Netherlands.
