This tour is taken on foot as this is the only way to really see it- but it will not be strenuous.
You will see why Dharavi is the heart of small scale industries in Mumbai. You will be shown a wide range of activities from recycling, the making of clay pots, embroidery, bakery, soap factory, leather tanning, papad (poppadom) making and many others, most of which need only a small amount of space to operate.
You will also pass by the residential areas where you really get a feel of how the people are living while seeing the sense of community and spirit that  exists in that area. It is quite an adventure to traverse the narrow alleys of that neighbourhood.
