Goethe Museum

This museum is an extensive display of the Goethe Age and is in commemoration of the greatest German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. It shows pictures and paintings from German artists belonging to various time periods, which depict changing traditions and cultures. It also has an extensive library of literature and historical texts. Adjacent to the museum is the Goethehaus, which was the home of the famous writer. The house and the museum are both open to tours. The museum timings are Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with the ticket costing around 5.00 Euros for adults and 1.50 Euros for children. Due to major reconstructions, the museum will be closed for the rest of this year.
