Stade de France

Stade de France is the national stadium of France, and the fifth largest in Europe with a capacity upwards of 80,000.  It was here that the home nation secured victory over Brazil in the 1998 FIFA World Cup finals.  The stadium is also home to France’s rugby union team.  No club teams call it home, though it is the site of France’s football league cup finals.

Built between 1995 and 1998, Stade de France was one of the most expensive stadiums in the world at the time, costing nearly €300,000,000.  Stade de France is located in the suburb of Saint-Denis, just to the north of Paris.
