This is the most famous seafront pathway in Nice. It is named after the English who were the ones to have it built during the 18th century when they began coming to Nice for their holidays. The Promenade which is translated as "Walk of the English" runs for four miles and is home to some of the most exclusive restaurants in Nice. Here you can see people relaxing, bicycling, lounging on the blue chairs, rollerblading and skating.
This prestigious and luxurious hotel with its pink dome is one of the most famous landmarks of Nice. Named after Henri Negresco who was the founder, it was opened in 1912. It was named as a National Historic Monument in 1974. The hotel is glamorously done up in a number of different styles. Some of the rooms are based on the personalities who stayed in them such as Coco Chanel, while others have themes from literature and music.
