By Bus

The bus network around the city is much denser compared to the tram system and more frequent since buses travel all major routes of Helsinki multiple times a day. Predominantly, the bus network is divided into the Westbound, Northbound and Eastbound. Westbound buses operate through the underground bus station at the Kamppi center while the remaining two networks are stationed near the Central Railway Station at the Eliel Square and Railway Square respectively.
Long distance and Express bus tickets can be purchased from the underground stations that will take you around for hours on end. Being part of the HKL network, further information can be obtained from the official website.

The tickets for buses or trams cost around:
2.20€ ($3.50) for adults,
1.10€ ($1.80) for children 3 to 15
