Situated on the busy Causeway Camp, this is the first Phillipe Stark's designed boutique hotel in Asia. It is the finest blend of a hotel and serviced apartments. With its white background, warm teak floors, objects of art creatively placed, it has the ideal more livable feel of both a home and hotel, of luxurious settings with comfortable atmosphere, of aromatic candles and gifts welcoming guests. The apartment comes with a dining table, ultra modern amenities, a fully equipped kitchen, mini bars, work areas, top quality audio equipment including flat screen TV, DVD units, surround sound, free wireless broadband and local calls. The laundry can be handled by the hotel, but one has the provision of doing one's own laundry in outdoor terrace Laundromats. There is privacy in cozily done alcoves and curtained enclosures in the rooms. This is certainly the place for longer stays.
In the common areas, quick breakfast or leisurely meal can be eaten with a variety of juices and coffee/tea, or beer soft drinks and light snacks available all day long. Free wine is on offer in the evening to allow guests to mingle.
Though the JIA does not have its own gymnasium, it provides a complimentary pass to the nearby California Fitness Club. The Jacuzzi on the sun deck is a great place to relax after a tiring day.
It has an award winning Australian cuisine restaurant called OPIA.
